Magnesium Taurate Benefits and Dosages
There are many people who suffer from palpitations and high blood pressure. In this article, I will show you how magnesium taurate is effective for palpitations and high blood pressure.
Magnesium Taurate Benefits and Dosages For the Heart
Magnesium Taurate dosage 500 mg/day to 1000 mg/ day may reduce blood pressure (BP) systolic as much as 5.6/2.8 mm Hg. This was the dosage also used to reduce or stop PVC’s or palpitations.
However, clinical studies have a wide range of BP reduction, with some showing no change in BP. Magnesium taurate has also been shown to decrease glucose, help joint pain, and back pain.
How Does Magnesium Taurate Help the Heart
The combination of magnesium, potassium along with reduced sodium intake is more effective in reducing BP than taking vitamins.
In individuals, Magnesium Taurate has been shown to improve heart palpitations, neck and back pain, PMS symptoms, and anxiety attacks.
Studies have been done with magnesium taurate on blood pressure.
Some of the people with high blood pressure who took magnesium taurate were able to stop some of their medication. Research has shown that magnesium taurate is the best form of magnesium for the heart.
When you reduce the salt in the cells, while increasing the magnesium and potassium in the cells, the blood pressure will stabilize and improve.
The reason why palpitations and PVC’s occur is usually because of electrolyte imbalance. I have been able to stop my PVC’d with magnesium taurate and foods high in potassium. (If you have kidney problems you need to be careful with your potassium intake).
Magnesium Deficiency
Magnesium taurate also increases the effectiveness of all antihypertensive drug classes. So therefore, if you take high blood pressures pills, you need to monitor your blood pressure levels because magnesium can lower your blood pressure.
I think this is a good side effect. There have been people who have decreased their blood pressure dosages when they started taking magnesium taurate. You need to consult with your doctor of you want to pursue this route.
It remains to be conclusively proven that cardiovascular disease such as coronary heart disease, ischemic stroke, and cardiac arrhythmias can be prevented or treated with magnesium intake.
Preliminary evidence suggests that insulin sensitivity, hyperglycemia, diabetes mellitus, left ventricular hypertrophy, and dyslipidemia may be improved with increased magnesium taurate intake.
Various genetic defects in magnesium transport are associated with hypertension and possibly with cardiovascular disease.
This magnesium Taurate by Cardiovascular Research consistently ranks as the best. Magnesium taurate has been proven to help with palpitations and it regulates high blood pressure. Magnesium taurate also helps control diabetes and high cholesterol.
Oral magnesium acts as a natural calcium channel blocker, increases nitric oxide, improves endothelial dysfunction, and induces direct and indirect vasodilation.

Wow this was a wonderfully informative article. I have been researching the benefits of magnesium supplements, and believe that magnesium L-threonate and magnesium taurate would best serve my needs. I have seen a combination of Mg threonate, taurate and glycine, but the dosage of these falls well below the recommended 320 mg per day. Additionally, they are a little pricey, In your opinion, would it be safe to purchase both threonate and taurate, and take them either together, or at different times of day?
thank you!!
What is the difference between Magnesium Taurate and Taurine?
I glad to have searched into this site. Ive had had heart palpitations with a boat load of tests as to why. No avail from doctors. Funny though I had a Zio patch 14 days. During the last 10 days I had purchased a triple magnesium product that had Magnesium Taurate in it. It slowly made my palpitations almost disappear. I still have some but not as many. I think my doc will see the taurate memo I stuck in the zoo patch app.
I believe I really need the magnesium Taurate in a bigger dosage. This works!
